Our next Loving Your Bump pregnancy aqua natal yoga course will start on Tue 14 FEB 2023 for 7 weeks. This course has been devised in association with the Birthlight organisation to adapt key yoga moves to water specifically for pregnancy. The guided exercises help alleviate general aches and pains and to strengthen back and pelvic floor muscles in preparation for birth. The warm water provides support and weightlessness allowing for ease of movement.
The wonderful relaxation session at the end allows you to just float in the warm water and connect with your baby in the calming environment.
The candlelit classes are held in our lovely warm water private pool in Upper Gardner Street with oil diffuser and soft music to calm the senses and allow you to fully immerse yourself in the experience of moving your body and being at one with your baby in the weightlessness of the water.
You need to book a full course as the classes build on exercises and movements carried out in previous classes. However, if your baby comes before the end of a course we will either refund you, or credit you towards our baby swim classes. Classes are 55 mins.

Our Loving Your Bump pregnancy aqua natal yoga classes are designed specifically for pregnancy from week 14 onwards.
Accredited by the Birthlight Association adapting classic yoga moves specifically for pregnant women in water, these courses offer a safe, gentle and effective way to stretch and exercise without over straining or overheating as well as a multitude of other benefits.
Courses run in 6 or 7 week terms and take place in our private warm water pool in the Little Dippers' Centre in Upper Gardner Street, Brighton. The warm water provides a soothing environment facilitating relaxation and positivity in preparation for the birth of your baby.
Yoga: Simple, classic yoga poses are adapted to the water, making exercise enjoyable for all pregnant women, particularly if they are suffering from backache or pelvic pain. Bodies feel virtually weightless in water enabling deep stretching and exercise to open the hips and pelvis.
Relaxation: Aquanatal Yoga brings a sense of deep relaxation allowing deeper breathing which is beneficial to both mother and baby . Floating in water offers a unique experience of unity, as the baby is suspended in water (amniotic fluid) inside the mother, so the mother can share this experience of hanging in water and connection with the baby.
Preparing for birth: Using the water as a medium to explore and expel fears attached to labour. Explore positions for labour, how to open the hips and pelvis allowing optimal space for the baby, prepare for delivery and birthing the baby.
