Sue G

Head of Teacher Training and baby swim teacher

My first introduction to Little Dippers was when I took my eldest son to complete the Little Dippers Programme around 16 years ago - he and I loved the whole experience and his love of the water has never diminished! When I returned to Little Dippers (with my second son) I asked my teacher about how you become a Little Dippers Instructor. Within two weeks I was training with Lauren and I have never looked back! I finished my training and have been a Little Dippers teacher ever since, saying goodbye to 23 years in banking!

During the last 16 years I have also undertaken and qualified as an ASA Assistant Swimming Teacher, and then an ASA Full Swimming Teacher, and I have also done the STA Baby and Toddler Course. I am qualified in Paediatric First Aid and hold the necessary Rescue Recovery Qualifications for working and teaching in a swimming pool. I have also done some coaching at the local Swimming Club, but now focus my time on Little Dippers babies, starting from birth to 1 year old.

To watch these small human beings develop a love of the water, whilst learning vital self rescue skills still amazes me!

Sue teaches in our Brighton pool on Tuesdays and Sunday
